Kenitra will host the 4th edition of the International Red Fruit Festival from June 7 to 11, 2023.
The 4th iteration of the International Red Fruit Festival will take place in Kenitra from June 7 to 11, 2023, according to the BlueBerries Magazine.
The Moroccan Interprofessional Federation of Red Fruits, the Regional Office for Agricultural Development, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Forests worked together to arrange the festival of fruits in the province of Kenitra.
More than 500 red fruit growers will participate in the event, which seeks to generate 350.000 tons of strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries to strengthen the industry and boost the national economy.
The theme of this year’s event is “The Red Fruit Industry, a Model for Integrating the Human Element”. Spain was chosen as the guest nation in recognition of the two nations’ bilateral ties and to commemorate Spanish investments in this industry in Morocco.
The festival is anticipated to draw 120,000 attendees, as well as 10 institutional exhibitors, 40 private businesses, and more than 60 groups of local product groups over an area of roughly 4,500 m2.
The Red Fruit Festival will bring together academics, experienced Moroccan and foreign producers to talk about the technical, socioeconomic, and environmental elements as well as the potential for growing and improving the industry.
The festival’s program will include several cultural and athletic events.
